Measuring the level of shared decision making in the clinical encounter from the patient's perspective is an important part of assessing health care quality and provider performance.
We developed collaboRATE, a fast and frugal patient-reported measure of shared decision making, to enable this assessment. collaboRATE contains three brief questions that patients, their parents, or their representatives complete following a clinical encounter. collaboRATE is suitable for use both in research and in routine health care delivery.
On this website, you can view different versions of collaboRATE and see our work describing its development and early psychometric testing.
If you wish to use collaboRATE in your research or health service, please complete our Registration Form.
